  • You’ve mentioned many things, but some things just stick in my head. Without electricity, what do people in highrises do? What do hospitals do without electricity and elevator service? Not immediately, but soon […]

I firmly believe DeeB will be an absolute ally. What all of us need is a way to contact each other in the event or imminent threat of collapse. I don’t see that we can rely on much of anything except ourselves. We MUST have such a system in place prior to collapse.

  • Not all Americans now sign on to the Constitution. If they did, we wouldn’t have people trying to change it all the time. I believe some efforts for change can be good, but mostly what I see liberals trying to do in changing the Constitution are changes I could not support. As a first thought, [...]

  • I loved this article. This man states exactly what I feel and what I believe most of Americans feel. Others can believe whatever they want to believe, but I believe our form of government is irreparably broken, and malignantly corrupted by our politicians and bureaucrats. I believe it time for a do-over, whereby we figure [...]

I couldn’t agree with you more! The federal government has taken over more and more through the years because the more programs they control, the more people are beholden to them, the more control the government has over people’s lives. • I suspect it is not really a victory. I fear we won’t be concentrating on beating Obama at the polls. I fear we will be struggling with the same problem this entire coming year – and we will struggle with it until some spending priorities are reached and adhered to. Congress is as reliable as are [...]

  • Great commentary!! Exactly so. This little reduction in spending is not even a drop in the bucket, and there are so many things that could be reduced – or even eliminated that it isn’t even humorous that they won’t do it. It is flat out maddening. Our politicians are good at creating debt crises, but [...]

  • I believe, Joy, that you are right that somewhere along the way, some Americans spoke for all of us in giving up some of our personal sovereignty – however, the way I read this article is that they haven’t spoken for those of us who don’t want their speaking for us. However, this is hairy [...]

  • I am proudly a “people”. And I’d like to have the government out of my hair, if not my life. It does nothing competently. WalMart could run the country so much more effectively.

  • So if the debt ceiling does not go up, the government would have to cut back by about $150 billion a month but still would have money to cover the essential bills. After paying seniors, the military and interest, the feds still would have about $46 billion to spread around. That
